DW 8002 Drums Workshop Double Pedal Out of Production, Used, Good Condition.. It has served me well for many years but I finally switched to a footboard that is a better fit for my large feet. The 8000 series was designed to be a model between the 5000 series and the 9000 series it filled this role well, but was awkwardly priced making it less attractive than the cheaper 5000s and the more robust and smoother 9000s. Still a great pedal, it was just the odd man out for the DW kick pedal line. Almost any issue I ever had with the feel of this pedal being “off” was solved by applying pedal lube to the rocker bearings or by periodically giving them a solid clean.
