Double Pedal Drums

Up for sale is an Axis A Shortboard direct drive double bass drum pedal. Although used this pedal is still in working condition but does sport the typical wear and tear of a gigging pedal. Many of the screws have minor rust starting to form but can be easily removed and cleaned. The pedal has the most wear under the boards where it looks like the screws that tighten down the pedal have dug into it over the years (see pictures). Looks like there’s no real way to avoid this problem besides making sure the boards have enough space to not touch the screws when being played Axis design flaw? One of the springs has been replaced with a black Axis longboard screw as well. The pedals come with two Tama felt beaters (preferred over the Axis ones) and the beaters have barely been used. One of the wingnuts used to tighten and adjust the beater position has broken in half (see picture). This hasn’t effected the functionality of the pedal as you can still easily adjust the pedals with the half the wingnut missing. The pedals are very light weight but still feel very durable. When played they are smooth and fast! It really doesn’t take much effort to play double bass with them. My only issue with the pedals is it seems a bit of power is sacrificed for speed here. If you’re heavy footed you’ll probably not be happy with these unless you want to completely relearn to play double bass. This is perfect for a drummer looking for a bit of finess and speed with their double bass playing. Axis is the top of the line for making speedy smooth double pedals.
