This is a Universal Firewall Mount Power Brake Pedal 7 Dual Booster Master Disc/Drum Kit. 7 Dual Zinc brake booster with Bail Top Master Cylinder, and Black Universal Firewall Mounted Power Brake Pedal & Bracket Kit. The booster mounts with a 4-bolt pattern. The 4 bolts are in a perfect square and are 3 3/8 apart (center to center). The master cylinder in this kit is the Bail Top style, and features a 1″ bore and the ports measure 9/16″ and 1/2. This master cylinder will work with any drum/drum, disc/drum, or disc/disc setup. Firewall mount power brake pedal conversion kit is used to mount the booster and master to a more convenient firewall location. The arm is threaded 1/2″-20 to mount a pedal pad and the pedal arm can be adjusted in 1-1/2″ increments Pedal Pivot Point adjusts to 7″, 8-1/2″, 10″, 11-1/2″, and 13… Total length 14 to get that fit you need for your vehicle. This kit is for the disc/drum applications only. This disc/drum proportioning valve is also call a combination valve, as it performs all of the necessary valving functions with a disc brake conversion. These functions include the following. As more force is applied to the brakes and the car begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear. This valve decreases the pressure to the rear, preventing lock up. Metering is used in the front disk brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up. This provides rear stability on wet surfaces and helps prevent front pad wear. There is no metering function with the disc/disc setup. Drum Brakes require residual pressure of 10 lbs. To be held in the line. This pressure keeps the brake shoes close to the drums giving you a more firm pedal feel. The disc/disc setup does not require this pressure. 1932 Ford 8 Dual Booster Master Under Floor Pedal Kit + Disc Drum Prop Valves. This is a Brand New 1932 Ford car power brake booster assembly. This includes a pedal assembly designed and bracket designed specifically for the 1932 Ford. This MBM pedal is designed to mount under the floor along the frame and includes the correctly angled bracket for perfect installation. Also included is a high quality 8 dual booster and master cylinder combo. The 8″ Dual booster offers 27% better stopping power over the 8″ Single booster. The master cylinder is a Corvette style master with a 1 bore. It has four ports (two on each side) for easier installation. It also includes plugs for the ports you don’t use. This also includes a Prop Valve and two Residual Valves (one 2lb Blue Valve and one 10lb Red Valve) for disc/drum applications. This kit performs all the necessary functions when using disc brakes in the front and disc brakes in the rear. This valve will reduce braking pressure to the rear when necessary to prevent the brakes from locking up. It also distributes the brake pressure evenly so that each brake is working evenly. Finally, this valve offers the brake warning light switch to alert you if there is any failure in the braking system. This valve is a great upgrade over the original. This is a GM style valve, but will work on almost any Ford, Mopar, Chevy, or whatever, as long as you have the right fittings. This valve is solid brass, making it long lasting and heavy duty. This kit also includes the residual brake pressure valves (TWO valves). These valves are used with any disc brake application where the master cylinder is located under the floor. When the master cylinder is under the floor, it is usually lower than the calipers. Gravity and vibration can cause brake fluid to leak back to the master cylinder away from the calipers, causing a loss of brake pressure. These valves will act as a one way check valve that prevents this type of bleed-back. Without it, there is a good chance that the brakes will drag or give out completely!
