Eames Mastertone 12-ply, Rosewood, 9 Piece Drum Set (Double Bass, 6 Toms, Snare)
Eames 1982 custom-made 9 piece drum kit. The drum shells are Mastertone 12-ply (1/2) handcrafted from North American birch by Ralph Eames at Eames Drum Company and drilled by Joe MacSweeney. The shells are hand-finished in Rosewood. The kit consists of 2 bass drums, 6 toms, 1 snare drum, top and bottom hoops for all drums, 2 Zildjian crash cymbals, 1 Zildjian ride cymbal, hi-hat, leather throne, 2 bass drum pedals, 3 Sonor tom stands, 3 cymbal stands, hi-hat stand + pedal, and snare stand. The 6 toms are mounted separately from the bass drums on their own stands with 2 toms mounted per tom stand enabling greater flexibility in setup and improving kick drum sound quality. The drums were used for approximately 8 years prior to being carefully stowed and have been handled with extreme care. The shells are in excellent condition; nearly absent of cosmetic defects of 8 of the 9 shells with the exception of 1 tom shell containing few small scratches (as pictured above), which can be easily mounted in a configuration to keep the markings out of site. The Mastertone 12-ply drum shells are a heavy shell constructed for power projection, long sustain, and low end resonance. Great Sounding Drum Set With ZBT Cymbals, Gibralter Double Pedal, Pearl Snare ec
I’m not sure what kind it is but it was refinished in blue metallic. It has a 22×22 Kick, 2 rack toms, 1 floor tom, Hi Hat Stand and a pearl snare. The older fat student type that they don’t sell any more. It has a Gibralter double kick pedal, great sounding ride, 14 and 16 crashes a splash, 2 hi hat cymbals, all heavy duty cymbal stands, one extra cymbal stand, sticks and a stick bag, throne, soft cases for all and other extras. No China Cymbal as in one picture though! I traded it for the included splash. I’ll just say that I have no Idea what kind of drums they are but after playing in bands for 35 years and owning a sound company for over 30 I haven’t ever heard a drum set close to this for this price. I’m not sure why there is a Ddrum head on it and I’m nor positive as to the make of the drums. Maybe if you are a hardware expert you can tell me, but they do sound and look incredible and are a steal at this price!
